This Privacy Policy explains how JPS - Job Processing Service ("JPS", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores and shares information when you use JPS.org.pk, our mobile app, browser extensions and related services. By registering or using our services, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide

  • Account details: full name, CNIC, mobile number, email address, gender, date of birth and password (stored in encrypted/hashed form).
  • Profile and CV details: father's name, WhatsApp and alternate number, marital status, religion, disability status, domicile (province, district, tehsil), addresses, height, chest, weight, blood group, employment status, government employee status, education and academic records, work experience, skills, hobbies, languages, profile summary and preferred job categories.
  • Photos and documents: profile photo and documents you upload (for example CNIC copies, domicile, certificates and passport-size picture).
  • Application and payment details: jobs you apply for, selected package, bank/payment method, transaction ID, transaction date and payment receipt screenshots, refund and store credit (wallet) records.
  • Communication: messages and files you send to us through your application timeline, comments, reviews, and messages you send on WhatsApp or email.
  • Company accounts: company name, contact person, email, mobile, address, website, logo, package purchase and payment details.
  • Games: scores and play records if you play our games while logged in.

1.2 Information collected automatically

  • IP address and browser/device information (user agent) when you accept our undertakings and consents, which we store as proof of consent.
  • Last login time, session data and basic usage statistics.
  • Technical logs such as page load times and error logs.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account and verify your email.
  • To prepare and submit job applications on your behalf and to contact you about their progress.
  • To check your eligibility against job criteria and suggest matching jobs.
  • To verify payments, process refunds and manage store credit.
  • To send service emails and notifications (verification codes, password reset, application updates) and, subject to your settings, job match alerts.
  • To send informational or promotional emails about new jobs and our services.
  • To generate your CV and, if you enable it, a public CV page.
  • To let registered companies find and download candidate CVs (see Section 4).
  • To keep records of your consents, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and meet legal and accounting needs.
  • To operate, secure and improve our website, tools and games.

3. Cookies, Sessions and Local Storage

  • Session cookies keep you logged in and protect forms.
  • Preference cookies remember actions such as your vote on an FAQ.
  • Local storage in your browser may store small items such as your personal best in a typing game.
  • Service worker / PWA: if you install our web app, a small offline page is cached on your device.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser, but parts of the site (such as login) may stop working.

4. Who We Share Information With

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

  • Testing bodies and hiring departments: the information and documents needed to submit your application are shared with the relevant testing body or department, as authorized by you when you apply.
  • Registered companies: companies that have an approved account on our Company Portal can search registered candidates and view or download their CVs for hiring purposes. A CV can include your name, father's name, CNIC, date of birth, mobile number, email, address, qualifications, experience, skills and photo. No other third party is given access to candidate data. Currently there is no separate opt-out for this; if you do not want your CV to be available to companies, please contact us or delete your account.
  • Public CV (optional): if you turn on Public CV, your CV is visible to anyone with its link. CNIC, mobile number and address are not shown on it.
  • Service providers: we use limited third-party services to run the site, namely Cloudflare Turnstile (spam protection), Histats (visit statistics), content delivery networks (such as jsDelivr and cdnjs) for site scripts and styles, and an email (SMTP) provider to send emails. These providers may process technical data such as your IP address.
  • AI tool (staff use only): our administrators may use an AI service to draft job descriptions from job details. Candidate personal data is not sent to it.
  • Legal reasons: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users or the public.

Our site may also contain links to social media platforms (such as Facebook, WhatsApp, X, Telegram, LinkedIn) and app stores. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave our site.

5. Advertising

We do not currently show third-party advertising. If we introduce advertising in the future, we will update this Policy.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on our hosting servers. Passwords are stored in hashed form. Uploaded documents are served only through access-controlled links to you and authorized JPS staff. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your password confidential.

7. Data Retention

  • We keep your account, CV, documents and application records while your account is active.
  • When you request account deletion, your account is scheduled for permanent deletion after 14 days. During this period you can log in and recover it. After that, your profile, CV, uploaded documents, applications, consents and wallet balance are permanently deleted.
  • After deletion we keep only a minimal anonymous record (a non-reversible hash of your CNIC, number of applications, fee totals and deletion date) for accounting and fraud prevention. It cannot be used to identify you directly.
  • Where the law or an unresolved dispute requires, we may retain specific records for as long as necessary for that purpose.

8. Your Rights and Choices

  • Access and correction: you can view and update most of your information from your profile. To change your CNIC, mobile number or email, contact us.
  • Documents: you can delete uploaded documents and your profile photo from your profile.
  • Notifications: you can manage application, job match email and website notifications from Profile > Notifications.
  • Marketing emails: an automatic unsubscribe option is not yet available. To stop promotional emails, contact us and we will remove you.
  • Public CV: you can turn it off at any time.
  • Deletion: you can request deletion from Profile > Delete Account, or through our public Delete Account page if you cannot log in.

Deleting your account is final after the 14-day period. Any unused wallet balance is forfeited.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for users aged 16 years and above. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you believe a person under 16 has registered, please contact us and we will delete the account.

10. Your Responsibility

You must provide accurate information that belongs to you. Do not upload documents or personal data of another person without their permission.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, you may be asked to confirm it again.
